3D reconstruction for mobile devices

Our client, a large Japanese international, was looking for a solution using 2D and 3D computer vision to create a 3D representation of indoor spaces using mass market mobile devices as a key technology component for different applications.

Intermodalics provided a working tech demonstrator leveraging its expertise in Google Tango and ARcore, as well as its 3D computer vision expertise.

Our customer gained the 3D scanning capability on their Android devices as a native Android app. We packaged this software and loaded it onto their devices. An export function allows them to export the 3D scan towards a desktop computer for further processing.
